Julie Picarello Class

Posted in Artists, Uncategorized by paccorinti on January 19, 2009

Last weekend I coordinated a 2-day class for the SBPCG with polymer clay artist, Julie Picarello. It was fantastic! She is a great teacher and everyone produced lots of new beads and other pieces. I haven’t done much with polymer clay lately but it was certainly fun. I hope I can figure a way to incorporate other things into my silver jewelry. Maybe I can use polymer clay.

Julie won the second place award at last year’s Bead & Button Show Bead Dreams competition. She has put her own twist on on a polymer version of Mokume Gane. She also incorporates metal work into her finished pieces.

Julie discussed how she adds metal to her polymer clay pieces.
